ENRICHMENT

You should leave St Joseph’s a more enriched person!  A better person than the one who joined; and, you could say, a more employable / successful person later in life. In signing up to Sixth Form at St Joseph’s you should therefore do so in the knowledge that you are not just signing up to be successful A Level student, but to become a better person.

Therefore, the most important thing with enrichment is not what activities you do, but what the activities do to you! In other words, you should spend time doing activities which make you a better person by the end of Year 12 than the one you were at the end of Year 11.

This will probably mean stepping outside your comfort zone.

It will certainly mean serving and helping others – as we believe that this is the best way to become a better person yourself. It is why at least 12 of your 50 hours must be working with other people to be of service to them.

Are you:

Ready to serve others needs

As with any improvement in life, the first thing you have to do is to identify the things which most need to be improved. Therefore, looking at the list below, identify the three things about yourself which could be better; three things about yourself which could be more enriched. These three things will become your aims for your Enrichment programme in Year 12.

I need to be more:

Compassionate, Loving & Generous

Tolerant, Respectful & Non Judgemental

Spiritually aware,

Responsible,

Self-confident,

Well-balanced

Consistent

Ambitious

Inspirational

Courageous

Responsive to injustice in society and the world
